My Favorite Purse – the Purse Bringing Me a Good Friend

Posted By on December 30, 2010

When I was a fresh student in the university, I performed excellently as the best student in the class. I ranked top in the final examination and all my friends admired me very much. I wrote letters to my parents and they all were proud of me.

But when I was a sophomore, the days were not as pleasant as before. It was all because of a new classmate of mine, Mike. One day, teacher Linda brought a boy and introduced him in front of all students. She said, “Here is Mike and he is an amazing boy.” I did not mind her words at that time and did not realize that Mike turned out to be my biggest enemy.

Yes, he was really amazing. He heatedly discussed various topics with teachers in classes and all teachers loved him very much. He also got well along with every classmate and soon he was selected by all students as the new monitor, replacing me. In the final examination, I was second to him and lose the top place in academic records. I was so angry at him. One day, when he asked me to play football with him, I rudely threw the ball to his head and ran away. The ball hit his head but he said nothing.

To make matters worse was that we loved the same girl Linda. One day, when I planned to invite Linda to attend my birthday party, I saw Linda and Mike walking together, cheerfully laughing and playing. I began to hate him, Mike.

But one day, I lose my favorite purse. It was a brown and beige purse. I did not know where I put it. There was much money in it, for supporting my life expenses of total three months. Oh! I just wanted to die if I could not find it back.

When I was worrying about my purse, Mike came in and said, “Excuse me!” I stared at him full of envy and hostility in my eyes and said, “Don’t bother me.”

“But I have things to ask you.” He said.
“Don’t bother me. I repeat it.” I angrily answered.
“But is this your purse?” he asked.
“Yes. Oh! Yes. Where do you get it? Thank you. I mean. I don’t mean to…”I shyly stuttered.
“Linda let me pass a card to you and I put it in your purse. I promise I have not touched anything in it. I just picked it up in the classroom.”He said.
Once I heard the name Linda, I forgot all things. I hastily opened the purse and took out the card, reading, “Would you like to have supper with me this evening?”

I jumped up and passionately kissed Mike.

Later Mike became my friend while Linda became my girlfriend. My favorite purse brought me two friends at the same time.
